A great weekend

I've had the last four days off, and pretty much took care of all the little things I had to work on, like building the 86 cannondale. Here it is.....

I spent WAAAAAYY to much on it - the rear derailleur hanger is bent/busted, so the only thing I could use was a White Industries Eno Eccentric hub. The front hub is a Paul Components High flange that I got off a guy that works at the bike gallery.I fixed up the Gary Fisher frame I thought was junk. I can't get the headset on right, but it works as is. I changed cranks on the yellow Voodoo - I put the yellow raceface cranks I had on the red Voodoo (put white industries cranks on THAT one). The paint looks a lot better on this picture than in real life.......

We picked up three bikes from Jeanette's dads house - a 1956 Schwinn Corvette (missing the fender guard), Jeanette's lady stingray, and her Schwinn Varsity - all three are horrible rusty - here are the photos:

I've ridden the Corvette and the stingray - very fun! The Corvette has a Sturmey Archer three speed that works, though the middle gear skips (not sure what that is).

Here is a new picture of the yellow Voodoo (looks much better!)

I just got the crank remober for the ISIS cranks on the blue Voodoo - I'll take that off and put the White Industries cranks on it and get it ready for the Katy trail!

Another one gone.................

Just gave the 1996 Marin away - it was too small, but its a wonderful frame. I think Bobbi will be happy. I just picked up a 700c White Industries eccentric rear wheel, and I'm going to fix up the '86 broken Cannondale frame and ride it.  I might even get it painted!

It was a nice day..............for a flat!

yea, so I rode the Wanga in to work today, the one with the slicks, and was enjoying the great weather SO much, I decided to run over some glass (it's all over) and blow my back tire...................On the bright side I got to walk a few miles pushing said bike.

one voodoo gone.........one cannondale added!

Let the orange voodoo go...............but today I picked up a 1990 Cannonndale sm400 (bottom of the line) pretty cheap. Note the (stuck) Scott Uni-shock ............I'll try to unfreeze it. Already changed the seat, seatpost, and installed a new bottom bracket and changed the pedals. I'll change the handlebars and look into changing the stem. The cannondale needs some work, but everything works. Also got dad's bike done (except for as few minor issues.

Voodoo = 4

Just let go of the newest voodoo on tuesday the 12th...............somebody needed it more than i do.........................

Rode the Kestrel 20 miles on Friday the 8th - very sweet! Almost bought a companion road frame, but that fell through.

Happy riding!

Kestrel's ready to ride!

I finally got the parts to finish the kestrel - other than a few adjustments it's ready to go! I'll be riding it in to work tomorrow.

It's got a sweet old raceface crank, and I put the melvin chain tensioner on it, temporary miss-matched brakes and I'm going to change out the front wheel for a white industries hub when I get around to it. I need to cut off some of the rear brake cable sleeve 'cause it's too long, and probably adjust the handlebars, but at least I can ride it. I had to do some serious painting with black fingernail polish around the crank - someone let some serious chain sucking go on and didn't fix it. Then some polish and it'll be sweet!

Second date didn't go as well...........................

I had hope, but that was about it. I found a Cannondale super V 1000 on Craigslist, but the seller hasn't got back to me - he called once and said he'd email me, but it didn't happen. Oh well.............at least I got the Kestrel!
