Started working on the "Beast"

I installed the headset and put the fork and stem on today as well as the front wheel...........this one is NOT going to be light. Here we go...............

Here is a picture of the orange voodoo, all ready to go!
Here are a couple of the red voodoo with the rigid fork BACK on, and the white industries ENO crank and eccentric wheel that you can't see...........

and, if anyone cares, a black and white of Wilber

It looks to be a rainy week ahead. Be safe!

component changes - pictures coming!

I changed out the Yellow Raceface cranks of the wanga and replaced them with a white industries eno crank (and white industries bottom bracket) and put the eccentric eno wheel-set (from the marin) on it..........sweet! Now I just need to put on the white industries freewheel and be done with it!

The Raceface cranks are going on the Hoodoo (yellow on yellow should be cool).

The other eno crank is going on the wazoo, and IF we do the Katy trail this fall I'll throw on the 48 tooth crank instead of the 36 so I can fly down that path! (sure).

I'm changing out the 105 cranks on the '99 cannondale with Ultegra cranks (I heard a nasty noise coming from "something" up front - either the bottom bracket or the cranks - while dad and I were riding to Salem).

I'll post the wanga this weekend if it gets sunny - it's the only one that's done!

Picked up a frame - full suspension K2 (old one) - hopefully the rear shock isn't shot - Hoping to build this one for dad so he can ride the dirt roads in Arkansas!

Nu Voodoo!

This makes number 5 - sounds like a lot, but this one's orange (Bizanga), so I had to get it - besides, it was cheap!

It had a nasty rattle-can spray painted front suspension fork on it, so I took the one off the Wanga (put the black rigid voodoo fork back on that one) and though it doesn't match exactly, it's the best I can do - and it's orange!!!!!!!! and a 1996 or 97, so it's made in the U.S.! It came with an XT package too, so that's kind of sweet! (though the wheels are messed up)  Note to self - clean up the shed!

Ride to Salem!

Dad and I rode to Salem last wednesday (the only nice day, other than today!). We rode thru oregon city (need better planning), across to Champoeg, and south along the scenic bike way. We were tired, so we took and Amtrak bus back to Portland and got home............it was great!  I rode the cannondale and Dad rode the new one we built while he was here. Everything went fine - I heard a bit of noise from my bottom bracket so I'm going to replace the cranks and bottom bracket pretty soon.

Great ride today - took the Voodoo cycle cross bike - goes up hill real nice!
